Terms of Service
Last updated: January 30, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Slipwire, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you're using Slipwire on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.
2. Description of Service
Slipwire is a platform for deploying and managing self-hosted applications on hardware you own. We provide the control plane — a dashboard for orchestration, monitoring, and remote management. Your data stays on your hardware. We never touch, store, or process your business data (files, passwords, backups, etc.).
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. One account per organization unless otherwise arranged.
4. Billing & Payment
- Subscriptions are billed monthly at $49/mo base + $15 per site per month.
- Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Prices may change with 30 days' written notice.
- No refunds for partial months.
5. Free Trial
We offer a 14-day free trial, limited to 5 sites. A credit card is required to start your trial, but you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial with no charge.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.
- Resell access to the service without written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Your Responsibilities
You own your hardware and are responsible for it. You're responsible for backing up your own data, maintaining your network, and complying with laws applicable to your business (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.). Slipwire is a tool — how you use it is up to you.
8. Data & Privacy
Your business data — files, passwords, application content — never touches Slipwire servers. We only store account information, site metadata, and usage metrics needed to operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Intellectual Property
Slipwire and its branding, software, and documentation are owned by Slipwire. You retain full ownership of your data. Open-source components included in the platform are licensed under their respective licenses.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. We are not responsible for data loss on your hardware.
11. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
12. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may terminate your account for violations of these terms with reasonable notice. On termination, you retain access to your own hardware and data — we're just the control plane.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
